But who's counting?
The biggest adventure of my life begins 30 days from today ... 4 months, at least 3 countries, and my final semester as a law student. Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji are at least three of our stops, the rest of our itinerary has yet to be determined.
This is, by far, and under many different definitions, the furthest I have ever been from home. On one hand it is the most exciting thing I've ever done, on the other, its a little scary :) . However, knowing my sweetheart will be with me throughout my travels has increased my bravado tremendously!
It is my feeling (and hope!) that is just the beginning for these types of journeys. This will be the place I record my travels, my new experiences, share my thoughts, photos, and memories ... I hope all my family and friends can enjoy some of these experiences through my eyes.
Here's a little preview of our trip:
December 31, 2006 - February 17, 2007 (Departing December 29, 2006)
We will be based in Melbourne, attending Monash University Law School. We will be living at the Grand Mercure, Docklands. (really, really roughing it hehe):
February 17, 2007 - April 14, 2007
We will be based in Christchurch, New Zealand, attending the University of Canterbury School of Law.
May 4, 2007 - May 8, 2007
Elliot & I will be spending our last four days in Fiji!
As for all the dates not mentioned, and the weekends in between - we haven't established that yet. Elliot & I will be going to Adelaide a few times throughout the trip to visit his uncle and cousins who live there. The rest we will be playing by ear!
I hope you enjoy my accounts of this new adventure :) Come back and visit often!

This sounds like a wonderful trip, almost like a 4 month long NYU scholars program! I know you are a pretty conservative girl, but please be careful when you go down under :-) Can't wait to see pictures though!
